As I said in another topic I started recently, when I was a kid I was introduced to horror stories by R.L. Stine and his Goosebumps series. Looking back, I kind of think much of why I want to become a writer is due to him. I enjoyed his stuff, especially since it was horror aimed at younger people, as a kid. Lately I've been wanting to try writing stories aimed at younger people. This is something I've been thinking about lately. For a long time now I've wanted to become a horror writer. But the more I think about it, the more I think I would love writing horror stories for kids too (in addition to for older people). I guess one reason is that I just remember how much I enjoyed the stories as a a kid and I'd like to be able to possibly do the same for future kids. Has anyone here ever written stories for kids? Has it/have they been published?

I haven't written any stories for kids yet, but I plan on doing it. At the moment I am re-reading some of the horror stories by R.L. Stine, Anthony Horowitz, Kenneth Ireland and Dennis Jürgensen that I read as a child. I want to analyse the stories and I am trying to figure out what was so good about my favourite stories. My goal is to write my own collection of horror stories for children, and I have some ideas that I am going to use in my stories, but I didn't write much yet.
