Texas Independence Day

United States

I that that Texas' independence day is really March 2,when the constitution was proclaimed, but today is April 21, the day that my ancestors defeated the Mexican army at the battle of San Jacinto and made our independence possible. Today is the day that we like to celebrate our independence. When is the independence day for your country?

That is fine with me. I am all for celebrating both days, so long as there is a lot of good food to eat!

In Canadian we have Canada Day or what used to be called Dominion Day on July 1st. That is when we started our confederation. No shooting, no violence, just the prime minsters getting together in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island and signing the confederation documents. Then we have fireworks, go out for picnics, wave flags, and do all that wonderful stuff you do on Independence days.

Sounds like a lot of fun to me. I love to go out on picnics and eat good food.
