Orchids

I have had an orchid for years given to me by a friend as a small plant, and finally this year it gave it's first flowers it is a beautiful Cymbidum orchid, someone told me the flowers last several months before they wilt the problem they lasted barely a few weeks and are already wilting, I think it is due to bout of cold weather. How many mylotters have orchids, are they all this difficult to maintain.

We have orchids before but unfortunately we didn't maintain it very well. I found it hard to grow orchids. You have to have a green thumb to grow it well. Last week my relative bought two orchid plants already with flowers but days later the leaves are turning yellow and the flowers became wittered.
