Here is the link to a blog post about cruelty to live pigs: http://astrostarblog.blogspot.com/2009/04/cruelty-to-pigs-begins-monday-april-27.html I just found it today and will send an email hopefully it will help stop it from happening. There is still time, we have until Monday april 27. I never heard medical training is done on living beings. But if this is not the first time it happened then it won't be the last. Would you also send email or call them to stop it from happening on April 27?

I was led to believe in the U.S. pigs were no longer used as test subjects, but no doubt it still goes on places even where it is illegal. In this day and age, with all the ways we can do tests, there is no reason to use live pigs. It is sad. I guess a lot of countries have different rules about such things, but in 2009 I think no one should need to use live pigs for any experiments.

Medical training is different in different countries. I didn't know about such practices. Human-based simulators are good enough. I am glad that you posted this message. I am very upset, because it is not necessary to torture and kills pigs to train doctors. I am going to send this link to everyone I know, hope we can stop this horrible practice.
