Car Window up or car window down?

When you go thru a restaurant drive thru with your dog in the car do you roll up the window so your dog can't "greet" the employee at the window? I always try to keep my back passenger window up so when I get to the window my dog doesn't pop his head out and scare the employee. My mom doesn't see what the big deal is about keeping the window up. I reid to explain to her some people are afraid of dogs so having our dog pop his head out the window might frighten them. Even if they're not afraid of dogs they still my be afraid to get bit. Am I the only one who thinks this is common courtesy for the person behind the drive thru? Am I the only one who does this?

I agree with you! Sometimes you have the employees who think your dogs are cute, then they pay more attention to the dogs, then gettign your order right. All in all, I think it is just best to keep the dogs inside the car when going through a drive through. Also, the people can see just fine through the window, if you want them to notice the pups (for a doggy treat maybe)

I never really considered this before, but I see the point that some people are afraid of dogs and so it is best to train the dog to stay away from the window. I have a small dog and most people welcome her attention but I need to be more considerate of those people that are not comfortable around her.

I never let my dogs at the people at the drive thru window. My dogs are also big and could very easily jump out the window and into the restaurant and that would be very bad. I think it's common courtesy to keep your dog away from people until you know that they welcome the attention.
