Associated Content For a student...It's a piece of crap, Any alternative?

I've always wondered about sites that students can use to get some money to survive during school etc. Apparently you can sign up to Associated Content if you're under 18 but in order to earn anything you've gotta be over 18. Which i think is really really crappy. I was hoping to upload some essays and stuff but no. Anyone got any sites to earn from essays, study notes etc.....?
