Good day to all. I was posting on a discussion using my phone. It was a long paragraph. When I am going to post it, the battery of my phone suddenly got empty. Good thing, I still memorized what I had posted. This happened to me not only once but many times. Does anyone here experienced it also? Happy mylotting...=)

Yes, this happens at times. But what I do is, I type it in my message editor where it is auto-saved as drafts even if the phone goes off, and I can comeback any time and continue with typing the response. After this, I copy the content form the message editor and paste it at the posting site. I hope your phone also has this feature. Just give it a try.

Thanks, I will try it. My phone does not have copy paste function but it has a wallet.

Sometimes my cellphone's battery got empty when I was talking to someone on the phone. And I don't have a backup battery. I need to borrow my friend's cellphone to continue my talking.

I rarely do calls on my phone. On my situation, I have to type my response again because it is not yet posted. Anyway, thanks for the response...

Few times, my cell phone battery just drained out in the middle of business call... Sometimes it depends on how old the battery is... When the battery gets old, it won't hold the charge... Being that I use my phone a lot for work purpose, sometimes I have to charge it 2 - 3 times before the day is over... After a while, battery just burns out... Most of the batteries have between 750 - 1,200 charge cycle before it just burning out completely & won't hold the charge... It also deponds on your charging habit... If you really think about it, even if you take care of the battery, if you charge the battery once a day, that would mean you'd be charging your battery 365 times a year... In my case, I would've charged my battery 730 - 1095 times a year... That might be your case... Your battery not being able to hold the charge because of its age... Nothing wrong with it, just a natural result of the battery over the years, like with the cars... After 150,000 - 200,000 miles on your car, for some reason, it doesn't exactly run like it used to from the day you bought it... Normal wear & tear... Unfortunately, if that's the case, sounds like time for a new battery...

I do experience that on my phone and on my third party browser i use in posting responses. it irritates me that much especially when the response I've typed is definitely too long so I have to start again from the scratch.

Thanks for digging this topic, it reminds me of my nokia 3530 that I used for typing this discussion a year ago (even old phones with GPRS can support the old script) . Yes, shutdown due to empty battery was unexpected sometimes. Nice to know that you still remember your post before the shutdown and you were able to retype it back. But it got a positive effect on me, after I restarted my phone, I rushed back to type it again, and it gets better because it's longer than the original as I try to add up more details. Now, I am using the copy/paste function to save a backup on my drafts so in case of shutdown, I just paste it so there is no need to retype.

Yeah I experienced that and I get pissed off because of that. I might throw my cellphone to the trash can because of too much anger.

I don't sue my phone for posting messages to this site. I have to pay extra for the inernet on my phone, so I post from my compuer. I have to pay extra to have the internt on my phone so I don't do it. It would use the battery up way to fast, much faster than it does now. It usually happens when I am in the middle of a conversation. If I am home and it happens, then that is ok, as I can just hook it up to the charger. When it happens on the road, then that is a total different matter altogether. You have to have a big enough phone to come to this site, and my phone is a little one so it wouldn't work anyway.
