have you ever felt that you have sort of amnesia?

its very common these days that people seems to double check on each and every aspect of day to day life. many a times, i have seen my father checking whether his wallet is there in his pocket before leaving to office. my brother checks his mobile phone. my mother is always tensed as to whether she has switched off the stove or dont remember where she has kept her spectacles. i have heard her say many times that she has amnesia. the case is same for me too, i check the bathroom door twice or thrice as to whether i have closed it before taking bath. i wonder if this is the real amnesia or its just a feeling? have u ever noticed yourself rechecking the same stuff more than twice?
