Wounds Caused By Rheumatism Or Arthritis

Have u ever seen wounds caused my rheumatism or arthritis? Usually cound at the ankle part of the leg usually with people ages 40's and above? My mom has this for almost a year now, it looks like a cut vein which caused discoloration of the leg because of the blood not flowing properly. It is already black in color and getting bigger and bigger. Creams, ointments and other medicine was already taken but still no progress. My aunt has it too so i presume that it might be hereditary. Im still researching for it for its remedy aside from consulting the doctor because there might be a possibility that it will happen to me as well.
