why did you choose to get an associates degree in IT? I personally tried telemarketing ONCE and I lasted one night. I just couldn't do it. I have tried many different jobs in many different areas. I have been very very blessed that I have had many different opportunities. I did not know what I wanted to do either. I knew what I didn't want to do. think about things that you enjoy and see if you can turn them into a career. you are young and if you choose something that you need more schooling at least you can work towards it. I am older and I finally have an idea of what I would really enjoy, unfortunately for me it would require many years of schooling and I am not in the financial position to do it. I am settling in a way but I am ok with this. I think that you need to do something that makes you feel satisfied. Most of us have to work and why spend most of your life doing something that makes you miserable? Life should be more than that.

the best thing is for you to quit your job. if you are not sure what you want to do, try applying for different jobs that you think you will have the best chance of getting accepted, then read about the description to know if it suits you, if you think you can do well with it. sometimes it is true that we don't end up with our dream jobs but it is with us, with what we do... that helps us enjoy the kind of work that is available to us.. not necessaril;y this will make us happy but it gives us the money we need to live daily.

you don't have to quiit your job now.. go find a job and then when you are sure you will want this job theen you can already file for a resignation. that is what i have done and that is what most people do as well, they dont resign until they are sure to have a new one waiting for them.

Oh darling, you sound like me/ everyone else! I have no idea what I want to do with myself, but I know that I do not want to work at this job forever and i know that I want to change my profession to something else. I have not started college at all yet, even though I am 24. I simply cannot afford it. Currently I work as a secretary/office manager for an asbestos removal company... OH SO MUCH FUN! Let me guess? You sit on the computer at work and try to earn extra money that way? I do that, and part of the reason is that I don't really enjoy my job, and that makes it seem more rewarding to me. I hate the fact that I do that, and I don't like the fact that I dislike my job. I wish there were a way to make me like it, but I can't. I have no idea what I want to do with myself either, and it stresses me out to the max. The best suggestions I have is do what makes you happy. You might not get paid from doing something that makes you happy at first, but if you work at it, you just might be able to make a living off of your hobbies.

As of December 2008, I am jobless. Well, my being jobless is not because I don't like to work nor I cannot find one. It is the choice of my mom that I need to stop working and focus on my review to prevent divided attention. Anyway, in order for you not to hate your job, before you apply for a certain job make sure to know more about the job specification, make sure it is one of your interest, have some background check of the company, make an effort to know the people working in that company and if possible make some interview, research and survey first. In such a way, you will not end regretting what you have entered. You will surely end up in staying in that workplace for a longer period of time or ever eternity.

Hi there, Well, im 28 and i have just completed a college program, well i just need to pass a government exam to earn my degree. After that, i want to go to university to do a bachelor's in either Geography or Modern languages. So i wonder what to do between those two programs. I love geography to study territory, build maps on arcgis and so on. I have worked in the Fauna area, working with fish and birds too. Been working for projets as a wild life technician. So for now, i am thinking what should I do at University: either geography or modern language; since i am fluently in both French and English, i could become a translator or something like that. So yes i do understand what you are going through. Well, the best advice i can give you is take your time to know what you really like, get to know your interests and take the time you need to figure things out. Its not easy but its worth it. Doing jobs you hate it isn't worth it because you'll end up being unhappy. I've been there a few years ago. I used to be a janitor like 7-8 years ago and i started to be unhappy. So i have decided back then to go back to school, in college. Then, i only had my high school degree. Anyways, try to find jobs that fits your interests and go for it. I wish good luck Bye.

I also have job but the salary is not enough and that is also my problem. I have a job, I do not hate it but I need another job just to be able to provide for our family's needs and to save some. My present job is gratifying but I am not paid well. When it comes to that, my piece of advice is analyze yourself. What are the things that you want, like do you like to have a job to supply your needs, does your family (parents and sibs or your own family) depends on you. If the answer is yes then you have to find job that will provide you money to help them, but if the answer is no, find job that will make you happy. Find job that you you really like to do, that really interest you so that you are working as well as you are enjoying it. Also, do you have a plan? like what do you want five years from now kinda thing, what do you want to achieve, what do you want to be doing, how do you see yourself for a day. That's are the questions that can give you some ideas and plan yourself. I advice you to search over the net about Goal and how to achieve, it is not for the job but for yourself, because it is needed to fix your mind first to be able to ready yourself of finding the job.

I am an engineer and i still haven't found a job yet because of the recession. My job is pretty exciting because i love troubleshooting. I can be in the field of Electronics, Communications, IT, Broadcasting, Instrumentation and control, Mechatronics and other. I can say that i got the chance to work, i can have a big salary but unfortunately, i still haven't found one yet. And as for you, you can quit your job and find one that is close to you and that you will enjoy. It is not yet to late since i believe in the quote that if there is a will, there is a way and if we are still alive, nothing is impossible. So explore the world around you and find the work you belong to...^_^

Well I know how it is like, sometimes early in the morning, I really do not feel like waking up. I really do not mind my job, it is just the hours I have to put in, sometimes in the evening when my whole family is back or sometimes in the weekend when my family plans to have some outings. I am training myself in investing and I have come to find a rather reliable way to test. I am still working on it, however if you like I can share with you and perhaps in the future we can both quit our jobs, and stay at home.

Well, I am currently a freelance writer. It is something I enjoy, but I kind of have to do it at the same time being that I could no longer work at my prior field due to the economy. Against someone elses advice, if I were you I would not quit your job right now. Especially in this economy. Be glad you have one for now (I know it is hard when you hate going to it everyday) and try to figure out in the meantime what you really want. Then maybe by the time you figure it out you can jump right in and find that job that will make you really happy. It is not easy finding out what you want to do. Sometime you think you know and then find out it isn't what you thought. Sometimes you stumble upon something you never thought you would like and end up the happiest. You can narrow ideas down too by thinking of what you like. Do you prefer a job you can go to, work and get paid or are you more someone who likes to make their own hours and is ok with the possibility of not having a steady paycheck? I would think of things like that to narrow down possibilities of what you might like best. There is a book I believe it is called 'Do What You Are...' It is suppose to help you find out what would be best for you, by your own self/personality. Maybe it can help you. I wish you the best of luck! :o)
