Internet is a wide source of information. You and I have gathered a lot of information ever since we got our hands on the keyboard with an intact internet connection. But this can be misused like anyything else. Do you trust everything what the internet tells you?

There are ways to tell how legit a site is but then I usually also take into account for whom the site is presented information for and what is there true intentions. Out of curiosity, I explored European heritage and African heritage centered sites. The EH site had some extreme fallacies in historical data and some had some hateful comments towards other groups of people. The AH site mainly talked about history that was backed by credible sources and had comments geared towards togetherness. I usually enjoy learning about the past of nations but I can tell a fake a mile away. It depends on the person's judgment and if the information they seek is what they want to "hear" or if they are just exploring information and deciding for themselves.

That's definitely a good idea from your part. And regarding the heritage, my opinion is that every heritage has its own prestige. Nothing's bad or something like that. I hope you have the same viewpoint too.

I do know that many groups of people have achievements that they have accomplished. But some sites just completely lied and said ONLY there heritage (ancestors) can be accounted for everything that has been invented in the world on a specific EH site. I could tell that much of what was mentioned were false statements based off of books I've read, classes I have taken, and information that I obtained through different sources. Also, generally sites with poor spell-checking on more than just one line would make me question their credibility. Along with me looking up the sites author background will determine if I will accept that site as holding some truth.

Yes. I really agree with your view on cultures. And the spelling trouble is also a good method to track out people who provide false information. Good thinking.

Even in our mortal world we can't trust anything without crosschecking first. The same thing happened on the internet world. We, as users, should prevent ourselves from any misuse of informations. One thing interesting is not every informations on the internet are true. Even from email, in one day people could receive more spams than the true emails. Have a nice day and happy mylotting.

No ,I will not believe all the content of the Internet ans here all are having possibility of posting anything in their website and blogs and hosting the same.I will raise many question within my self about the issue, if I am searched for some information and then only I will come to a conclusion. We have to consider the site from which we are collecting the information.

That's a very good idea. We should always be on our guard and ask contradictory questions. Thank you for the response.
