Public Housing

So we applied for public housing back in February I think. We made it to the top of the list which didn't take long at all. Apparently there is a townhouse that we are getting but every week I call to check the status of it and they keep telling me that it's not ready yet but can't give me even an estimated date. They just say call back next Friday. I really want to know what's up. My daughter's birthday is coming up and I don't know what I can get her because I don't know if we will have a yard or what. And I'd like to have her bday party there but I need to know what the place is gonna look like. I mean if it's a piece of crap then do we really even want it?? Waiting sucks!

At least you don't have to wait as long as we do up here. Waiting lists in my area are as long as 10 years for any type of apartment or house. There are so many low income families, it's not funny. I've never stuck around long enough to find a place while on a waiting list so I've been off the list for many years now. You'll get it soon enough, just have patience.
