Lightworking: Is it wrong to turn your back?

Does anyone who understands the meaning of lightworking feel that it's wrong to turn your back on people? I've been blessed with the gift of empathy and have frequently through the years been charged with one task after another. Before I can finish my posting, I need to mention that I have trouble distinguishing a few things... * Unconditional love vs. being a doormat * Unconditional friendship vs. being manipulated * Friends in need vs. energy vampires I feel like a skeez when I have to turn my back on friends and people I love,and at times I feel that I shouldn't... but when is enough "enough"? :/
