Do you get paid for requesting Friends??

May 2, 2009 1:31pm CST
I have noticed that there has been an increased number of people requesting to be my friend. Now as much as I appreciate the kind gesture, and I will never turn down a friend request, but do you get paid for that? You see since i've been here I get an average of 5-10 friend requests everyday. But the majority of these people that request are not really my friends as I dont chat with them and I haven't got a clue who they are. Although there are some genuine people who I talk with from time to time. So is it because you get paid for it to request friendships?? I dont get it.. I thought the whole idea of requesting a friendship is that you want to get to know the other person.. So why would you request a frienship from me and never bother to even say hello to me? Please somebody kill my curiosity or my ignorance on this.. Thank you.

There is nothing int he rules and guidelines which say that you get extra payment for adding friends. However the more friends you have the more chances that they will answer to your post. The great the answers you receive the better.

No you don't get paid for friends. Some people seem to think the more friends they have the more responses they'll get for their discussions and that will raise their pay. I have a lot of people requesting friendship, but I look at their profile to see if we have anything in common. If we don't I don't grant friendship because it makes it too hard to find discussions started by my friends that I have lots of things in common with.

The more friends you have your discussion has a chance of increase the responses eventually that can help in increasing earnings.

No, I don't think you do get paid for friends. You get paid for starting discussions, posting responses and from your referrals. You are getting these friend requests because that is one way to get more replies to discussions since all the discussions that your friends have started appear on your mylot homepage

No, you don't get paid. But it is a good idea to have some friends, as you do have a better chance of making more money, if you do. It helps, if you do have some friends. It raises your chances of making more money.

HI, I am surprise to see you have so many friend adding you. I dont really have fun to request. There is a good thing for your profile cuz whenver they add you, then you discuss will be spread out more and more chance to get point. I love to have friend around, and they always help me with my discussion.

For sure you wont get paid by adding friends. Where is it in this world is such a good thing?haha..if there's, i believe i'd be another scam too. However, it's of course no harm to have more friends. I do have the same feeling as you, there's no meaning if we just add friends without even saying a 'hi' and gets to know each other.
