Let Everything That Has Breath PRAISE THE LORD!!!

May 2, 2009 4:01pm CST
When was the last time that you truly just Praised the Lord for his goodness towards us? I believe that praising God no matter what circumstances you're in is an effective weapon against the enemy. Praising and thanking God is one way of you showing your appreciation for what he has done for you. I don't care who you are or where you are from, One thing am sure of is God has been good to you!! He has allowed the sun to shine for you, he's brought forth rain, he has provided you with a home and you have place to sleep. Your living breathing and well because of the Grace of the Almighty God. So just for a moment, forget about whatever trials your in right now. Just focus on him and say "Lord I thank you, I praise you for you are God," The psalmist says in Psalm 34:1 "I will bless the Lord at ALL times and his praise shall continually be on my mouth" It doesnt say I will bless the Lord when I feel like it or when its only good times. God appreciates and responds more to people who will praise him in the bad times. So if you haven't been praising him lately, I urge you to do so. Praise him everyday, sing a new song to him. He inhabits your praise for him. Remember, A psalm a day, keeps the devil away! Medidate on a psalm each day... P.S. Please do not respond if you are NOT a MATURE christian. I am only interested in responses from bible believing, holy spirit filled, born again believers.. Thank You, God bless.

You just reminded me of my dad. We use to sing praise songs all the time when I was young and we never do that anymore, I need to get back into thanking God for what I have, because if it was not for him I would have nothing. Take care and god bless you for bringing this to my attention. Take care and happy mylotting as well.

One of my favorite prayers is praising God and praising him individually for his different names and what they mean. The Bible says that God inhabits our praises. If there is ever a time that I feel alone, it is time to praise God and draw near to Him. Yes, praise is a major way of doing warfare. II Chronicles 20 is a good illustration of that even in the natural realm but we also know that every physical story in the Old Testament has a spiritual lesson to learn. I particularly like the Psalms. I tend to jump around where ever God takes me when it comes to the Psalms. I spent 20 years in a church where all of our hymns were based on the Psalms. That was very enriching. I like to take a chapter of Proverbs each day that matches the date, then throw in a Psalm or two. This is always a good start to the day. By the way, I hope this is mature enough. God bless you!

Well then, maybe I shouldn't answer to this discussion because I am a Catholic since birth but haven't been practicing much. So probably I am not so holy spirit filled any more, but I still consider myself as a mature Christian. I do thank the Lord and not because I have received something special. I say thank you for the little things in my life, because after all I believe in the simple things such as a smile from my son or a nice day spent with my family. As for prayers, I don't so that much as I used before, however I really like Psalm 23. Actually I prefer it in my language it is so straightforward and simply put. In English it says, The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. My language's translation goes something like this, The Lord is my Shepherd, I don't need anything else (except him as my shepherd)

Believing in God is a wonderful thing, But please don't tell people to believe or to pray, People believe in there own way, Even if you can't see it.
