What is your favorite moment?

Being an aunt has all kinds of perks. My favorite moments are when they say silly things. I only have 1 nephew that is old enough to speak. My favorite thing he said happened last 4th of July.
We had just gotten back to my sister's cottage (where we were staying) after dinner. My nephew jumps out of his car and runs over to me:
Nephew: Aunt S, put your bathing suit on!
Me: Why?
Nephew: We're going to the BEACH!
Me: What if Aunt S doesnt want to?
Nephew (sheepishly): you want to.
It was so cute. He was so determined that I wanted to go to the beach with him.
What is your favorite moment with your nieces and nephews?

That is so cute!
I have so many fond memeories of ny neices and nephews when they were smaller but not one particular thing that stands out. Right now I have no wee ones and the next step will be when grandchildren come around again - that will be fun too!

Ahhhhhh yes, you have got to love having Grandchildren! My mom has always said that if she brings my daughter back to me spoiled and/or full of sugar I just have to get over it because that's what Grandparents do! Also she loves that when their your grand child(ren) you can always give them back to mommy! What a cheeky woman huh? LoL.

I have an idea that being a grandmom will be great and Ican't wait to enjoy it too. I have an idea that I will be just like the grandma you describe too

I have a favorite moment and i have mentioned that one in the last topic i have started but got only two responses. Well those two friends who did respond are really my friends and one of them i am hunting now. Thanks for luring her to your discussion, derl, because her posts above confirmed what i have pictured her in my mind. 
Anyway, my most favorite moment was when my ten year old niece (the oldest among the six cousins (my siblings' children) sent me a text message last month greeting me on mother's day and telling me... "YOU ARE LIKE A MOTHER TO ME". Mind you, the emotional me almost cried!

I saw her today in the mall and as if she doesn't get enough of me she went on kissing me on my cheeks then held my left arm with her very, very cold hands they seemed frozen! Then she went over to the icecold water dispenser and came back with hands ready to freeze mine again! Kids!!!

I would honestly say that my favorite moment is a toss up between the day I said I do to the man I love on March 22nd 2006, and the birth of my daughter a few months later on June 6th 2006! That was a great year :)
