Amnesia......What is it???

Hi All!! What is this disease??How can this happen??Does a amnesiac person forgets everything,or every day to day activity that he has been doing for a long time??? I was just wondering!!Can you put some light on it??

someone gets hit in the head will make them forget everything it don't alwasys last very long but sometimes it will last a long time.i have heard to that something bad has happened to a person will make them forget things
