Do you sometimes feel you are exhasted but you hav hard time falling asleep? Last night, we came home after midnight, I almost slept through the whole 2 hours drive, I was really really sleepy and tired in the car, but after I fed my dog when I got home and got cleaned, I couldn't fall asleep, it took me long time to fall asleep.

There are lots of times when I have difficulty sleeping even though I am very tired. Some times I wake up in the night and am unable to get back to sleep even though I want to. When this happens I usually go to the living room and turn on the TV, sometimes I can fall back asleep sometimes not. I find that the longer I lay in bed trying to sleep the harder it is to fall asleep.

I always have a hard time sleeping, no matter how exhausted I am I can't relax enough to even close my eyes. I sometimes use the T.V. to relax me, or I just lay there for hours thinking.

Some people need TV to help falling asleep, it helps me too but I don't have a TV in the bedroom unfortunately.

Hello mermaidivy, Whenever I feel tired, I can't go to sleep. Even though my body is just too tired, my mind won't stop thinking and sometimes I force myself to do the house chores as long as my eyes are wide open. That's the reason I clean the house in the wee hours sometimes. When I past my sleeping time, I can't go to sleep too.

So I don't sleep during the day, otherwise, I would even have more hard time falling asleep.

You should go to see a doctor about it. If you keep doing this, it might be worst. so try not to think and get more rest as much as you can... think about good think... put some great scene in the room that make you want to sleep, and come a long with music.

Hi, mermaidivy Yes, experience that sometimes. I think that's what we call "too tired to sleep". My body is aching with exhaustion but I am wide awake and my mind is jumping from one thought to another. It's sort of weird I just turn on the tv and try to focus my mind on what I am watching. I would be lulled to sleep after some time. Take care!

That happens to me sometimes. Especially when I nap in the car! I think my body uses that time to rejuvinate. Then, when I do a few things at home that need to be done, my body thinks it is time to keep going! As long as it isnt a regular occurance, I dont think it is anything to worry about. It happens to everyone sometimes!

With such 2 hours drive, I will surely get headache. Its difficult to get sleep if I get too much headache...But normally when I am tired, I like to sleep too much and get asleep too quickly... I hope you have another problem, may be mental tensions....
