What would cause several websites to say different release years for a movie?

the movie "Easy Virtue" the version/remake with jessica biel keeps showing up at coming out in two different years.. imdb.com shows it coming out in 2008 and yet i just read a magazine (i think entertainment weekly) that says it comes out next month.. both are talking about the one with jessica biel.. why would it show two different years for a movie? i mean it would make sense if one was a remake and the other the original but the original was really old and jessica was not in both.. they are messing with my head!!! lol..

Hi,it's quite rare for IMDB to make a mistakes. Actually the release date for the movie is different to each country. In IMDB web, you can see the release date for quite a number of country : http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0808244/releaseinfo So, maybe this information could help and stop messing your head ; ) Smile always

Could be that it has a predicted release time in 2008 and there was some problem with the movie production and the release date was changed and never updated on the website.
