In the sentence "Some times you will have to screw them." I vaguely know that "screw" here means "attack", but I do want its exact meaning. Please help!

Let's put in this way for exact meaning... There are times, you will have to mess up with them. It maybe the things that are gone well or people who wants to take advantage of you or backstabbing on you... gets?

Hmmm...idiomatic expression eh...LOL Ok let me give it a shot here it goes.. Screw up can mean make a mess, confusion an error. As for your sentence, it may sound that you would have to / need to foul up, mishandle a person without intending any harm so you won't get harmed in any way.

attack really isn't a good equivalent for that. more like "use them to get something, and leave them with nothing for it" basically taking something without compensating or acknowledging.
