Have anyone take a cruise to Bahamas before?

I never got a chance to take a cruise to Bahamas island before, but I pretty much want to do it in the future. The thing is, I don't want to travel alone, I must accompanied by some friends. If anyone had travelled to Bahamas before, what special about this island? What are the attractions?

My cousin went on her honeymoon, and my neighbor went, know they used different cruise lines and my neigbor went 8 yrs. ago and my cousin just got back. They both HATED it, they said everything is scheduled for you, and it is so crowded with peopel you cannot move, you cannot swim, and you cannot dance. They both said they would rather have spent the whole time in their cabin.

I went to the Bahamas on a 4day cruise. I had a blast!! But I really wasn't a fan of Nassau when I went. There were too many hustlers there...Lol. I was chased down quite a few times to get my hair braided. But the cruise took us to a private Island called CocoCay (royal caribbean)and we had lots of fun...Drank lots of CocoLoco's!! Beautiful Island.
