I"m sorry and this can't be easy for your friend. I do think that people get blinded by love or the feeling of being in love and miss a lot of character flaws. She might have never been as attached to him or maybe she was loosing interest and he was so overwhelmed by his feelings he just never saw it. I can't say any easy words here. There aren't any. He's still going to have to feel the pain and loss of this girl; but she's just a girl. Not a woman, an empty headed girl that he is better off without. I agree when it was said it's better he found out now instead of later. I do truely believe that people can be in love with the 'idea' of being in love and it just blinds them to what is really going on. Sorry this happened to your friend and you're a good person to be there for him.

oh...I think the only thing he could do is dump her immediately,there is no need to make the broken relationship up any more,you couldn't ensure she won't do that again,plus,personally,cheating just once is reasonable enough to break with her,he could find better.
