I don't use Canon but I do use HP photo paper so I would have thought they were much the same. I love using this paper especially when it comes to printing off photos I have taken when i've been out with friends or celebrating really special occasions. Of course the quality of the photo when it's printed does rely greatly on the paper you choose to use. For example high quality glossy paper will produce the best pictures...however semi-glossy also exists which lessens the cost but also the quality. And of course if your really stuck for cash there is always the basic plain option which costs little compared to others yet the pictures will come out plain.

I use different brands, but have used Cannon before. There are gloss, semi-gloss and matte. I don't care for the shiny glossy prints and prefer the matte. Sometimes I can't find matte in the stores and have to shop around for it. Then there is the matter of fade resistance. I have used HP's Premium Colorfast paper. The pictures I printed out on this paper years ago still look vibrant. I have some pictures used on other types of photopaper (paper that was inexpensive and labeled as "Everyday use") and they have faded some.

Hello gch. I have not paid any attention to the photo paper yet though I have many photos developed in photo shops. Still I think that it is supposed to be in good quality due to its being a good brand. A good brand product usually pays a lot of attention to its quality and good fame. So I guess there is no worry about its quality. Take care.
