Well I try not to let mine cry, but he cries every time he don't get what he wants. So sometimes I do let him cry just to show him that he can't cry to get his way. Now when he has cried for a little while I will pick him up tell him I love him and that he can't always have what he wants. I'll give him something like a toy or just anything to take his mind off of why he was crying to start with.

I have never liked hearing a baby cry but I try and weigh why the child is crying...if his needs are all met, I know he is healthy and well and just attempting to get out of bed, get his way etc... I will ignore that (at least appear to ignore it lol)

I don't know, I have a 9 month daughter but she cries rarely and when she started to cry it means she is hungry or she need a new diaper. She is always laughing.

Well, sometimes I am not in the mood to listen crying even if I have to. I mean, even if my baby is having a test-cry for me. He's still so little and he's courious about how I react to his acts.

For me it depends on why they are crying. If they are crying because they are hurting or hungry then it is hard to listen to. If they are just crying because they did not get their way or something like that, I can stand it for a while. Usually I can distract them and get them to stop crying fairly quickly.

When my daughter was little I used to let her cry for about 10 mins and if she didn't stop I would get her. sometimes they go back to sleep or stop crying. Or sometimes they just want to see mom or dad and stop crying. it is hard to let them cry, but sometimes it is necessary.

Yeah I hate when the baby is crying. Sometimes we let her cry it out and my heart just breaks. I want to run in and get her. Especially when she was like 2 months old. She is a trickster though because she will scream blood murder and you'd think she's dying but you pick her up and she laughs.
