Making a connection with the sister I never knew.

Growing up I was raised in a different house from my sister im one and half years older then her. My grandparents raised me and my mom ended up raising my sister then my parents split up. Now that im 23 and she is 21 we are just now getting that sister relationship that we never had growing up. Im realizing how much I missed out on and how much I truely care about her. Its funny how you can feel so close to someone so quick. In this short amount of time we have gotten to know each other its like we were together our whole lives. I feel so blessed to have her in my life and know that she will be my best friend all my life. I know that I can count on her to be there for me no matter what. Its so nice to have my sister as my best friend!

Oh, well congratulations to you on getting to know your sister! I have 3 half brothers and a half sister that grew up in different states than I did and didn't have a childhood with them....and they are also quite a bit older than me. The older 2 are 12 and 14 years older than me, but now that we're all grown up we've gotten to know each other. They are blessings to me. I am so glad we were able to find each other.

Im glad that families are comming back together. I honestly never thought me and my sister would be close. Luckily life has a way of working itself out sometimes for the best. Im glad your family is back together and that your getting that relationship with your siblings!

It is true also on my part. Blood is really thicker than water. I have always prove to myself that no matter how busy I am with work or with my friends (friends will be there for goodtimes). It is my sister (& my mom) who would be there for me. When I had my appendectomy operation, it is my sister take good care of me. She was also the one who make prepare the documents for my release. She makes my life easier whenI was sick. She make sure that everthing is in order. I cannot imagine myself without my sister.
