I am writing a article about the top 20 Beatle's songs. Anyone else still enjoy the Beatles? What songs do you think the list should include. Help me out a little with this article, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1678911.aspx I did a discussion on the top 3 Beatle songs about 9 months ago. You are more than welcomed to research the answers if you wish. It's not the top 20 but it's better than nothing!!!

Thank you for the offer, I will take a look at your discussion. I am actually having a hard time finding 20 songs by the beatles. I know they made allot of music, but I can't seem to find information about all their songs. Do you have a suggestion for a website they might help me out. Thank you

http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/14724/the_top_20_beatles_songs.html http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MNABKtvOiLY http://www.listology.com/content_show.cfm/content_id.4720 Here's 3 that might help get you started. The only problem is none of the 3 agree on the importance of the various songs. Strawberry Fields is #20 on one list & #6 on another. I found it depressing that As My Guitar Gently Weeps isn't listed at all. I don't plan on doing your assignment for you, so these links should help get you started. The confusion over which songs actually deserve the top slots was why I started my discussion on the top 3. If you did go & read my discussion, you will see that few could agree on the top 3. Beatle songs means different things to different people depending on what was happening in their life when they first heard it. Good luck with your assignment

Thank you for the links, one of the links is actually for the site I am working on the article for. I wrote to the company to see about dimissing this article. I wouldn't feel right creating an article that is already written. I am glad you put that link on there.

I think I would look at each era of the Beatles music and try to pick some songs from each of these. I do not know if you want just songs when the Beatles were together or if you want to include some songs when they went solo. There were so many good songs, but here goes: 1. Can't Buy Me Love 2. Carry That Weight 3. Chains 4. Come Together 5. Do You Want To Know A Secret 6. Eleanor Rigby 7. Happy Just To Dance With You 8. If I Fell 9. Maxwell's Silver Hammer 10. When I'm Sixty Four 11. Hey Jude 12. Here Comes The Sun 13. I'll Follow The Sun 14. Lady Madonna 15. Let It Be 16. Yesterday 17. Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds 18. Yellow Submarine 19. PS I love you 20. While My Guitar Gently Weeps I went into http://www.beatleslyrics.eu/a-z.php to look up the songs. I must say that twenty choices are just not enough. I think it is because each song speaks to a part of my life that was what I was feeling exactly. Living during the time of the latter Beatle Albums with the Vietnam War, the S*x Revolution, all of the assassinations, etc. the music was so much wound into the era but I think the words still run deep even today. The list I have given you is more in alphabetical order than the order of best loved on down.

Wow, you are awesome! This list is great. I have a list I started, but I see some of your songs make better sense for a top 20 list. I really appreciate the help, I will send a link when I get the article done.

Personally I love The Beatles, some of my favorite songs in no particular order are; Eight Days a Week, Glass Onion, Let it Be, Hey Jude, Come Together, Eleanor Rigby, Back in the U.S.S.R, Get Back, Here Comes the Sun, I am the Walrus, Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Mrs. Robinson, Twist and Shout, Can't Buy Me Love, P.S I Love You, Yellow Submarine, Help!, Yesterday, A Hard Days Night, Drive My Car, A Day in the Life, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, All You Need is Love, Blackbird, Bluejay Way, Octopus's Garden, Strawberry Fields Forever, Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds, Dear Prudence. I Want to Hold Your Hand, When I'm Sixty Four, I've Just Seen a Face, Dizzy Miss Lizzy, All My Loving, and Please Mister Postman. I have A LOT more favorites, but I'm not going to list them all, because that would take WAY too much time. I hope I've been of some assistance, -PsychoSquirrel

I really like this thought. I might try to make a list of my favourite Beatles songs, even though it's going to be difficult. I love them all so much... But I think A Day in the Life is way up there. I love how it never ends (on vinyl) and the little paul mccartney piece in the middle is so fabulous.
