how long do you wait to pick your best response

Here lately I have noticed that while looking at a discussion some of them already have picked a best response even though it has only been posted for less then a day. Mylot recommends that you wait at lest at week before picking a best response. So why are they choosing them so soon?

I noticed just what you did!
I saw new users doing this.
You are talking in days! I saw new users marking their best response where only ONE response was received !!!
Its pretty likely that people don't go through the recommendations.
Everyone is in a haste.I think some don't have the patience to wait for more responses because they continuously keep posting the new discussions and this means they would need to pay enough attention to each new topic they start.
Its really annoying sometimes when any response is marked as best response in spite of it being not so relevant.
I think most people are in a hurry.Only some care about the perfect responses.
Others just run with their discussions.They start it,look at few responses and hurry with closure by marking the best response.
Maybe they don't really want those answers or don't want to get confused with multiple responses!

That is most likely the reason, I like you it is annoying when you see this sometimes. So when you see that a best response is already picked should you still leave a comment or just move on? I've been wondering about this.

If we want to get the benefit of a best response and the response is already marked we tend to ignore that post!
It also means that the user needs no more answers!
So yes,it will help no one if we comment on marked discussions.
It would be better to leave it and move on new ones!
