Yes i am scared of Dogs...Today i knew it

I am 26 and never in my life i thought i would be running on road and chased by a street dog.I came late from the office and was walking towards my house and i saw a dog barking at me and running towards me,the next thing i was doing was screaming and running away from the dog.Luckily i was not bit by it as some one shewed the dog away.
It might sound funny to all people buy my heart was in my mouth .
I used to always talk about courage ,bravery but today when these things were needed i was lack of them .
really it is funny to talk about it afterwords but i thing this was the scariest moment of my life......Thank God i am unhurt.

i had the scared feeling about dogs since i was 5 years old.i hurt by that crazy dog cause i run so fast then it run so fast too.from then on ,i never keep close with dogs cause i really don't like it.i know many people like dogs but not me,i really have no good feeling just want to keep far aways from it.

Yes , the same incident happened to me when I was a kid and at my native place where went to a store and suddenly a small puppy came and just from inside the store he just ran behind me and was never giving up. So, I went into my house there and closed the gates. I was very scared of dogs when I was a kid as it takes about fourteen injections to be taken into our stomach to get rid of rabbies if a dog bites us but now I am not scared of them!!

one day i came to party at late night when i will come near my home so there are few dog and they start to barking so i stop there. and when my causin come there and save me after that i went to home and take a stick and beat them after that when i came at late night they not barking.

Hi deepkika, We have alot of street dogs where I live. Normally they stay away from people , they don't trust them. There are a couple of brave ones though .
I have had these couple of brave street dogs run up to me barking. I did as the rest of the locals do . I picked up a rock. and the dogs left me alone.
I don't think I would ever run and scream. That really sets a dog off and gets them all worked up . I have 3 German Shepherds and love dogs , but I would be
a little fearfull having dogs run up to me barking, I would carry a stick or something to protect myself, don't run or scream

Don't be scared of dogs, if a dog barks you and you run away the dog will chase and even bite you. If a dog ever bark, just stay calm and don't make unnecessary movements that would make them come to you more. However, if the dog still comes to you and you are sure that it would bite you, depend your arms and legs, usually dogs bite this area in which they can be reach by their mouth..
I am been bitten by a dog, when i was young, but it did not stop me from being a dog lover. Animals are just like us, we show them respect in order for them to show us also..^_^

I don't think being afraid of the dog means you lack courage. They can be dangerous! I grew up in the country, and there were packs of wild dogs that would sometimes chase us as we walked to school. I am still afraid of strange dogs, but became much braver about that and many other things when I had my first child. I think becoming a parent of one so innocent and vulnerable helps one be brave about many things that used to seem frightening.
So, don't feel bad about that.

I have bitten by the dogs many times. Here in our place their are so many stray dogs sometimes I'm annoyed of the owners of them why they let their pets roaming in the streets. We had a dog but I'm afraid to some dogs who is agressive and going to chase me. I hope our authorities here do some actions to resolve this problem. I know the feeling of being it they said if the dog barks at you don't run because they going to run after you and they going to bite you.

Oh,I am also scared of dogs.I can understand you.If I were you ,I must scream like you.Some dogs will bark at strangers.I also met the situation. when a dog barked at me I were so scared that I just closed my eyes and screamed.I felt the dog would run towards me and bite me.At last ,the dog was stopped by the ower.

I am very sacred the dogs.So I am very strange that so many people choose a dog as a pet.When I count a doy ,I always walk past it tetanic.Actually,if you donot run ,you will not pay attention to the dog.

When I was a little kid, I used to ride a bicycle and whenever I do ride my bmx, I do tricks. My favorite trick back then was the two hands-no hold trick (the only trick I know of hehehe). I was doing my stuff downhill when a dog suddenly appeared and chased me. It really scared the hell out of me. I never did that trick again.
