I would go with Win 7 as am an engineering student And i dont find MAC to be of any use to me and Win 7 is more stable ,faster and most of the compatibility issues of vista have been fixed in 7 and we cant do much in mac as we can in Windows OS..

I cannot blame windows completely. Beacuse I am using it daily. But I am fond of MacOS. I have not even used once. I love the perfection and performance of MacOS than wondows. But the price is not affordable. I like its every aspect, from its sleek brushed metallic body up to it's great performance. I want to own a MacBook. But it's very costly. Right? Do you own a macbook? How's your experience using it?

Well not yet used MAC leopard......but even if i had a chance to i would still use windows 7.........it is simply amazing......i feel it superceeds all the prior operating system.......it is certainly one of the best OS i have used so far......i mean it has so much of features added to it......i like the snipshot, stacky and such small features added to it......it really enhances the use of your computer......i know we will be finding many bugs in the initial stages.....but i feel that's fine.....because its just so new now.....i am loving it so far......let see how it works in the long run......i feel it should be fine.......

I would like to use Windows 7 than MAC Leopard. Because Win 7 is more faster, great stability, less consumption of power source, and the main important is really good for gaming system not like the previous brother "Vista". That is why I will wait for Win 7 full version.

I would suggest both have their place. I personally prefer Mac over Windows. I can't really count the number of times that I've had to wipe my windows machine and reinstall the entire thing. With my Mac, I haven't had to reinstall the OS, or any software on it, since way back in the late 90s with OS 7 or 8, which was buggy and horrible. I do everything important on my Mac. I trust that it won't crash, or that I won't end up having to wipe the hard drive because Windows got a driver stuck up it's rear, and won't load now. For example, I got a program on my PC that didn't like the current video driver. No problem, I'll just update. Once I did that it had a hard lockup on boot. Went into safe mode, tried to remove the driver. Hard lock on boot. Went back into safe mode, and tried to reinstall the old driver. Hard lock on boot. Wipe drive and start over. I've never had that, or anything similar to that, ever happen on my Mac. When I plugged in my flash drive, Windows wanted a driver and complained. My mac just loaded the drive. When I plugged in my camera, Windows wanted a driver and complained. Mac just loaded my camera. When I put in my DVD, windows wanted to know what to do. My Mac just played it. Windows does have more software, but clearly to me, Mac is a better system.

well yeah windows 7 will be more useful if you are an engineer because it is difficult to find IDEs for MAC OS. and also there are not much software available for MAC as compared to Windows. I will prefer MS Windows 7 only :)

I choose Windows 7. I think that Windows are more useful than Mac because I am also an engineering student.

Well I have no experience of Windows 7 or Mac Leopard but I know windows 7 looks like Vista & I know that MAC is Superb in Graphics & appearence no one can beat him in this area but When you see Cost comarision between them then Microsoft will win. So I am still not capable to buy MAC but in Future I will.

I have tried both systems. I use Mac at the office, but I prefer Win7 especially for personal use. I was amazed by how much it has improved from XP (haven't tried Vista). They really made the UI easy to use. One thing I like was how the 'search' function was integrated directly to the Start Menu. Plus, Aero really looks good. :P But from my experience, Mac really is more stable. I received more errors and freezes on Win7 than on Mac. But hey, Win7's still on beta. Maybe the final version will be as stable as Mac. Hopefully. :D Cheers!

I actually use both Windows 7 and OS X. I have Windows 7 on my Desktop and have a MacBook Pro as a laptop. I have used Windows for a long time now (since 3.11) and although I can say without a doubt Windows 7 is awesome in Windows standards. But if I had the money I would buy a MacPro as my laptop. Macs just seem to never really have a problem, get a virus, or freeze up. Just my opinion though.
