I know I've to take the language courses , but I prefer to learn some words or anything before I start taking private lessons. Any one speak Germany here?

Ja, ich spreche ein bisschen deutsch. Meaning, yes, I do speak a little german myself. Well, you don't need to learn german if you're just visiting the country. You can just buy a pocket dictionary and have fun around testing your skills. Germans speak great english after all.

I need to learn German also!! Here's a website I haven't tried it out yet but it's supposed to be free www.dw-world.de Also go to the local library and check out one of those coursebooks its free! If you buy them online they can get expensive. I checked one out and made notes and copies of the pages i really needed. hope this helps!

I do speak German. I have been to Germany a few times. While it is always good to know some of the language of the country that you are visiting, I have found that it isnt always necessary. Unless you are going to visit small towns, everyone will probably be able to speak enough English to help you. One of the best resources for learning a new language is the Rosetta Stone. My husband recieved the one for German for Christmas and it has really helped him. I think you will be surprised at how many words are similar to English. Some of the important ones will be easy to recognize, such as 'Toiletten.'
