Contact lenses are great for sight, but do they have an impact on general eye health? Researchers at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Optometry are working to answer that question by analyzing tears. Biological changes in the eye can be measured through minor fluctuations in the level of inflammatory proteins called cytokines, which are present in the tear film. Cytokines are strong indicators of overall eye health, especially in contact wearers. They are tring to develop new method for analysis side effects of contact lenses and find criteria to specif group of people who can wear it safely? Do you use Contact lenses? Do you think it is safe to use? Have you ever meet problems wearing them? Do you advice using Contact lenses? Do you prefer Contact lenses/ Classic Glasses? Or Do you prefer LASIK Eye Surgery instead of using them?

I used contact lenses for 3 years ... but I stooped because I often had irritable red eye ... so I underwent LASIK eye surgery and fixed my eyes problems ... now my visual acuity in 6/6 :)
