Racism

Have you ever been teased or harrassed by other people because of your race? I am an asian, and people at my school, are constantly harrassing me about how nerdy I am, and how small my eyes are. In this nation, I can not believe there is actually racism, going on. Also at my school, Africans are spat at also. Like some people say, "Go back to that cottonfield!" or whatever, do you believe this should still be "in" our country? THis is almost like bringing segregation back.

Hey dude I know what you mean, their is always people at my school who say Ching Ching Chong whenever they see an Asian. Since I'm half Asian you can't really tell that I am, but alot of my friends are Asians and I see this constantly happening.

I hate it when people say that also, and if you are asian, they automatically suspect you of being Chinese, when I'm Korean...

I am so sorry you have to deal with that! I don't believe this should still be in our country, but it is.
I have seen it, I have heard it and its sad. No one should think that they are better then anyone else because of their race. Don't think racism will ever go away either...Now a days you hear people say...Oh its how I was brought up. Yup, parents will also teach there kids to be racist.
You just have to be strong and surround yourself with intelligent and respectful people who know better. =)
