What are your favorite video game characters? Do you like following the plots/stories in games? I always liked the cute, cartoon-ish characters like Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, etc. and Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, etc. I haven't cared too much about following stories in games.

Zack Fair (????ยท???, Zakkusu Fea?) is a non-player character from the role-playing game Final Fantasy VII. And I think this game was not finished but it was released. But still zack fair is my favorite character he got the looks, the skills, the talent, and the bravado, and i also admire his ways, like protecting his soldier honor, and his dream to become a hero.

My favorite video game characters are Sora, Roxas, Axel, Cloud, and all the other Kingdom Hearts/Final Fantasy characters. The plot/stories in these games are just so good that they make the games timeless. I could play them over and over again.

My favorite video game characters from games I have played and have not played(but hope to play, someday), would be: Sora(kingdom hearts series), Shuyin(Final fantasy X-2), Tidus and Yuna(Final fantasy X), Reno, and Yuffie(both Final fantasy VII). Oh, and Kirby. My OTC(one true character) for any and all times I play Brawl at friends' houses. Why most of my favorite video game characters are from the Japanese rpg category goes with why story telling is rather essential to me liking a game. Because they have the plot of the video game, plus player's actions, to flesh out their personality so much(as opposed to non talking games), its quite a connection with the character more than their looks. These days story telling basically is the entire thing that sways getting the game or not for me. When I was younger I was all about pokemon, and it didn't matter what kind of things happened to the characters independently, as long as I got to be on screen and in control, "catch em all", as the slogan went, I was kosher with the game. But now story for me leads me to explore the "fandom" of the game, reading fanfiction and looking at fanarts of favorite situations and interactions, and imagined ones. I also think that having story independent of gameplay allows you to connect to the characters more. For a video game with a solid story, the game won't be adding to the fact that 'kids today are so into their technology that they don't read/do intellectually stimulating stuff;. Because it will be intellectually stimulating, AND fun. Its like reading a book that is good, but being a part of creating the final contents of the book(at least to the first time gamer's perspective). Best of both worlds.

i guess you are into platform gaming, i bet you would like games like ratchet and clank or jak and dexter as well. i am more into action games so therefore my favourite characters are snake from the metal gear solid series and dante from the devil may cry series. i also like to play final fantasy because it always deliver a superb story and set of characters. story telling do add alot to the game but it's not something necessary for me. as long as the gameplay is good, the game is good.

Max Payne is my all-time favourite game. So I'd had to say Max Payne!
