Do you buy shops own branded foods or branded labels. With the price of foods going up do you find you are buying more shops own makes or are you buying branded makes.Lets face it most of the shops own products taste the same as the branded products and its all food after all. What do you buy and why?

Its a case of have to for me at the moment, and seeing as I was told by someone a lot of the things are made by the same companies as the brand types but packaged differently but of course I guess there are some things that are better to buy the branded things, things like sugar and milk and stuff I pay the cheapest I can get.

There are certain things I do want the name brand for. Especially in cooking. Crisco is one of those things, Folgers coffee. Tuna, well it can be a store brand, as can most canned vegetables. As for cleaning supplies, again, I like some name brands, especially the Tide detergent, but soaps, bathroom cleaner, floor cleaner, that can all be store brand. Clothing for the younger kids I just go to Kmart or Walmart and shop there, but as they get older, they're like most kids and want the name brand. That is perfectly fine.
