Sleep with the TV on

Since going out with my boyfriend 8 years ago, I now can't go to sleep without having the TV on. If it's off, it takes me ages to get to sleep because it's too quiet. Does anyone else have to have the TV on to fall asleep?

I think you are not doing proper workout. Otherwise you can also sleep. Make your routine so that you can get desired rest. Otherwise you will be in depression in near future.

I do plenty of exercise, I take my dogs to the park for a run in the mornings, take them for a walk round the block before I go to work and then a few times around the block when I get home. Plus I walk to and from work, I don't use the lift, I on't use the stairs at work and my office in on the 3rd floor. So I do plenty, I just can't get to sleep without the tv being on.

I have tried to sleep while the TV is on. And that time, I am watching alone because all of them, are already asleep and I enjoyed watching the TV. But, without knowing,I slept while TV is on and I woke up in the middle of the night. I wonder why it's very noisy and I look up, the TV is still on. Thank you!

No, I don't sleep with the TV on. If I sleep while the TV is turned on, it will take me ages to fall asleep. We're the complete opposite SuzyLong, hehe. I really won't be able to sleep with any kind of light on. I don't know why but I've been like that ever since I was a kid. Probably a habit I particularly grew up with and can't stay away from it anymore no matter what I do. Happy myLotting!

When I'm stressed out, Yes the TV must be on or I have to read. I can be completely exhausted but In the middle of the night when It's quiet and I'm trying to go to bed my brain will suddenly turn on. Then I'm up thinking all night about everything I did that day, everything I need to do tomorrow, bills, guys, work, etc. Having the little distraction before bed puts my mind on something else and make it easy to relax and go to sleep. I also know a lot of people who have this problem. It is quite common.
