Honestly, I dont think there is much of anyone that would be able to live by themselves. I dont think most people would want to live without the other gender. I know that I would go crazy if I could only ever interact with other women! I do enjoy being by myself often, but if I had to do it all the time I think I would literally go insane. Men and women often have the arguement you presented. I think the answer is that we all need each other! However, it sounds like your boyfriend should go find himself another girl! No one should make you feel like what he is doing to you!
