For your own experience what is more easy to learn about photoshop? I mean is it through books or youtube? What do you prefer and what is more comfortable for you?

I think you should take classes. You learn more from the experience of others and them passing it on to you. Books and youtube can't replace a great teacher. Plus you will be soon through example and you will most likely absorb the informtion better.

Yes Youtube cant replace a good teacher but there are some really great professionals out there doing some great work. You can check out the tutorials by Bert Monroy in the link in my profile under 33. I agree with you, there is no replacement for a good teacher but if one can not afford it there is always a great alternative. I shall be putting up new tutorials every week so if you need help or know someone who needs help ,just let me know and we can sort it out.

I find video tutorials so much easier to follow, but I do not like some Youtube tutorials as they are really bad quality. There are some really good ones that are done by professionals.I have learned a lot through these in the past few months. I posted a link in my profile under 33. Check it out and please let me know if you find these helpful

Hi angelbelle578. I think it still depends if you have already a background in photoshop, cause if you already have then youtube can be a big help. Unlike my husband he don't know anything about it, so he started with books, familiarize himself with the terms and all about the program, then practice in the computer. When he finally can do simple project listed in the book, he then search in youtube for any videos about photoshop. Presently he become sort of addicted to it that our hard disk is full of pictures he edited in photoshop like editing our pictures and putting different backgrounds...it's nice to look at too, it looks real. That's all I can share, I hope this helps. Happy mylotting.
