Im a mom-to-be and my husband started the mothers day tradition early i suppose. im five months pregnant and i got a million 'happy mothers day' wishes from all friends and family and a nice dinner and card and flowers from my husband! it was so nice. Its ashame your husband didnt get the notice that your still a mom! lol Im sure you son would have gotten you an amazing gift if he could have. Better luck next year!

I'm glad your hubby was so nice to you! Congrats on the new baby, do you know if it's a boy or a girl?

Mother's day is the last Sunday in May here in Sweden - so I can't answer that yet. I don't think it's something a husband has to do since I'm not his mother. I don't expect anything on mothers day (if it's not the same day as my birthday)- I get happy if I do, but it's not much to celebrate for me. I use to do something for my mother - thats's it.

We have no money, and my kids are little too. My son doesn't talk yet, but hubby made the girl say "happy mother's day" and she drew me a picture (she's 4). Hubby deep cleaned my kitchen, even pulling out the stove & fridge and cleaning behind them, he also vacuumed and mopped all the floors. Since I hate to do those things since I have problems with my hands and chronic pain, his taking his Sunday that is usually devoted to his own hobbies is a pretty good gift to me. Oh, and he did it all without one word of complaint or even being asked ot do it. :) Since you are the mother of your husband's child, I think he should have done something nice for you - as you see above, it doesn't even have to cost money. But look at the bright side, he has set a precedent, so now you don't have to do anything for him on Father's day if you don't feel like it!
