Luck and superstition!

Hey Friends, do you believe in luck or superstition? Right now my thumb on my left hand is itching so bad. I remember one of the superstitious things that I would hear when I was growing up that the old folks used to say was this, I'm going to come into a whole lot of money b/c my hands is itching. Boy do I hope this is true, lols. Do you believe this or not? What kind of superstitious things did you hear when you were a kid growing up?

I do believe in some of the superstitions ie dont walk under a ladder as you will have bad luck.I have never walked under a ladder just incase even though i seem to get bad luck all the time.Breaking a mirror causes 7 years of bad luck well maybe it do never done that either.Never heard of the itching one you are on about though.

I think that luck closely relates to having and maintaining a positive mental attitude if that makes any sense! I think that the more positive you are the luckier you become. I'm not sure that I'm all that supersticious though. I think in order to have a reasonable existance then you have to create that for yourself by taking the necessary action whatever that may involve. I guess I have come a long way myself regarding this as I always used to live in a negative frame of mind, not anymore though. Andrew

i believe in one or two things but it isn't often that i do. there are so many to remember that i just forget them so i dont really bother with them now.
i do find it really interesting listening to them though

I used to believe those kinds of thoughts but I have overgrown those child-like ways of thinking. I do respect my old folks but logic and the truth of the Bible gave me a surer way of knowing things. the itching of the hands? Sorry to say but I don't believe that it's true. You work for money and earn it. you don't just get it because your hands are itching. Try to wash your hands, they might have just been irritated by something.

How did it go? If your left hand itched you were getting money, your right hand you were going to great someone, if your foot itched you were going somewhere you have never been, and the ever so famous one... if your nose itched you were going to get into a fight or get kissed by a fool. Its fun to believe in little things like that, do I follow them, no.
