Do you think that you are really born with a set plan for your life, or do you think that you are able to choose how your life turns out by what you do?

I really think that this is a cool discussion and it sounds like a Final Destination journey or some sort. I believe there are designs* in life for all us, or rather a path and journey that we would take and lead. But I believe if one chooses to do bad, it's entirely his own discretion and no one tells him to do that. I also am a strong believer in fate and destiny and if we work hard enough, we might be able to change our fate from a negative to a positive one. That is why I believe stories of successful people and they are the ones that start from scratch and becoming say, a multi-millionaire mogul and more. Good discussion here. It makes me think about my own path and journey in life. It has been alright and sometimes fascinating. I would want to have the best of health to enjoy my life journey together with my love ones. Have a nice day.

I really like that you have a strong belief on this discussion, since not so many others do. I myself think that of course you choose to do what you can, but I do see how you could say fate and destiny are factors in how we end up. My husband and I had this discussion the other day, actually, and we talked about our being together being fate, or destiny. I'd like to one day know if it's real or not, but I guess we'll have to wait and see! Thank you for your response!

You are most welcome. I certainly like spiritual and life discussions as such and I also think that soul-mates are 'fated' for one another. And there needs to be work by both parties to make it work. I wish you and your husband the best of happiness.

Everyone has the freedom to choose whatever they want for themselves. I don't believe that our life is destined for one specific task or purpose. We can do anything basically. I saw one person from a T.V. show once. Almost everyone in her family and relatives is assuming that she will become a good scientist one day due to her amazing skills and passion in science. However, she turned out as a professional photographer in the end.

I agree with you. I never really thought that my actions in adulthood could really be drawn out by someone other than myself. It just wouldn't coincide with free will. Thank you for your opinion.
