Are you using safe water to cook?

One time, i opened the faucet,my eyes become big and round as i see that the color of the black water coming out.I informed my housemate and she laughed of my reactions.Its because they put chlorine on the main tank to clean the pipes and of course until for the mean time the water coming out will be affected.But im still doubt if the water from the faucet is safe for cooking and for bathing!

We should all be using safe water to cook. Sometimes when the water mains are being fixed in my area there is a lot of dirt that comes out of the tap. It is very bad.

and i think we must be informed too when they are putting ome cleaning detergents for the pipes so we will be aware of it.
