What is minimum wage in your state? Here in Illinois it is $6.50.

Unfortunately, ours just went up.
I am a minimum wage employee making 5.15 an hour. As of the first of January, my employer, who is struggling to make ends meet as it is, will be forced to pay me 6.85. This will mean cutting hours and maybe even firing someone.
