Thinking about moving

We are thinking about moving to North Carolina around the Charlotte area. I found a site, www.lovingcharlotte.com. It is a real estate site, but also gives a lot of good information about the area. Is anyone familiar with Charlotte and the costs of living and housing and so forth? Is this site pretty much hitting the mark as far as the information about the area? Thanks
