Do you keep in touch with your mylot friends?

I never decline friend request in mylot. In the past I tried to keep in touch to them by writing some messages to them (they were few in the beginning) but not much I can hope from sending messages. The reason I send messages because we are strangers who are now became friends, so why not say hi or something. Isn't that what friends would do? But now I don't send any messages to new mylot friends added. I'm afraid that my new mylot friends feel disturbed because to some it will better to keep distance for just responding to discussion instead of being real friend.
