Do you think that you can learn a new languaces if you watch to movies?

i took Spanish in school many years ago i don't remember but a few things i learned i never used it so i forgot every thing and when it is a movie on that is speaking Spanish i don't know what they are talking about .i wish i had used it so i could use it now.I realy enjoyed learning the language.

I am an American living in Mexico. The people in my village that speak English are mostly the younger ones. I have asked many of them how they learned the language and they have said by watching American TV. So.......I have been trying to watch Spanish TV, so far not much luck at all with it. If you say a word to me that I don't understand 100 times I still don't understand it. I have learned the most by interacting with the people as they patiently try to speak with me and we act out things little by little. I guess it just depends on your learning style.
