What do you think about the Eurovision of 2009?

Did anyone watch yesterday's Eurovision? If yes, What was your favourite song? Do you like the winning song? and most importantly, what do you think about Eurovision in general?

Iceland was my favourite song, but I voted for Portugal and Estonia. I think there are too many entries sung in English these days, so I have a personal rule that I only vote for songs entirely in another language.
To answer your other question, I love Eurovision! I first saw it when I was five, and I think I've only missed a couple since then. People will always say the songs are rubbish, but in reality there's been an unbelievable improvement over the last ten to twelve years - it's almost unrecognisable from what it used to be like.

Sometimes certain songs are a bit so and so but we are speaking in general. i agree with you that Eurovision changed so much in the last years. I have to be sincere, I am not a Eurovision fan but I do sometimes like the winning song or other songs participating. It depends on what songs are participating but personally im not that keen on eurovision. Infact I brought up this discussion since i saw it this year because i havent seen it for the last year or 2 years. Thanks a lot for your response.

I watched a large portion of it on TV. We were in a pub with friends when it was on. I think it is a shambles and waste of time. The way the voting was organized was a mess. I would not waste my time watching it again. Thy need to do some serious thinking and get it sorted out.

I watched it because my country passed to the final. But from what I can notice my country has never chance to win no matter what song they will take. The closest positions we came where 2nd and 3rd in the past years. But now too many countries are participating. And I dont like the voting, the way many of them vote. But at least this year there were quiet nice songs in the contest. Sometimes many of them arent that good but at least this year's songs were better.
