unerstanding men, a question for the guys out there...

ok, my boyfriend drinks, (not the problem) his ex was mean she used to get mad and even hit him all the time, the problem is he assumes that I will react the same way. I tell him over and over I am not mad, and I am sincere, if I was mad I would tell him. yesterday morning he really wasent himself, he said he was going to either pick me up after work so we could go out or come over so we could spend time together. since then he hasent answered my calls except 1 at 8:30pm. that was the last time I heard from him, but he called my friend at 11:30 to see if he could stay there because he was afraid I was mad at him. he never went there either. I am not like his ex. I dont care if he goes out I dont care if he stays out. I care if he avoids me because he thinks I am going to be mad. as long as when he comes home he doesnt try to start fights or hit me were good. so guys, how do I get my man to realize that I am not mad and I love him. our friends have told him too. I honestly believe he should be able to come and go as he pleases and if he wants to be here he will. I am not worried about him cheating on me. He told my friend he wasent comming here because he was afraid I am mad. I did get mad at him once when he got drunk and kept telling me I was mad and I wasent, and I told him that I was mad.
