How Do You Say Hello in the Country you Are in?

I am from Bangalore, India. The language of the state is Kannada. We greet people saying NAMASKARA, by folding hands.

I am from Australia and we say "Hi", "Hello" or "G'Day". It is interesting because we have such a varied population from many different countries who have chosen to make there home here in Australia, so the greeting will often depend on where the person originates from. :)
