Was it me or did the Wings- Hawks game have everything you wanted in a hockey game? It was a fast paced. The teams were evenly matched. It wasn't old vets who are slow playing young kids who are just out on the ice to have fun.I would love for the Red Wings to sweep because they are my boys but if each game could be like this one, I wouldn't mind a 6 or 7 game series. this was great. i thought when it was 1-1 there would be overtime. i said to myself, I have until 9pm.and that's what is so sad. People who didn't see this game will just read the score and think the Wings were in control from the beginning and that wasn't so. both teams came to play and it was even.your thoughts

I didn't like this game as much as you did. I thought the first period had the elements you were speaking of and with the exception of the soft, momentum squeezing goal in the first period, it was solid, back and forth, mistake free hockey. Detroit really began to take over in the second though and turned to total domination in the third. I thought Khabibulin held the Hawks in it through the second and it became too much come time for the third. I thought the final score was a pretty good indication as to how the game went, though it could quite possibly have been a lot worse for Chicago as well.

I think Chicago will take a game at home but other than that it'll be all Detroit. A 5 game series where one, if any, of Detroit's wins are close.

The NHL playoffs have been great so far. I thought that Penguins and Capitals was a great series. I think that we'll see a rematch of last year's Stanley Cup finals. Unfortunately as a Penguins fan I think that the result will also be the same, another Detroit win. Pittsburgh couldn't beat Detroit with Hossa and now Hossa is with Detroit. But hopefully I'm wrong.

Oh my G-d! I forgot about that.A rematch will have that storyline.I hope we can still be friends. I am a Red wings fan but I like The Pens too.it always seems like the west is fast and a stronger team.

This series is going to be another fun one to watch! I dont think the Wings will have quite as hard of a time disposing the Hawks as we did the Ducks, but this was much better hockey to watch from a normal fans standpoint. The Ducks played such a crappy, clogging style of hockey. The Hawks on the other hand play right into the way the Wings do. This will be a fast, fun and high scoring series. The Wings will win in 6, because of their superior goaltending and defense.
