Do you believe in wearing stones?

Ups and downs of life are a common thing and in distress many wear precious stones which are meant to give a new meaning to life, soothen ones difficult days and to soften the effect of evil, I believe in these things and wear saffire in my index finger, Do you believe in wearing such precious gems?

I am still exploring how I feel about different stones. For the most part, I pick ones that are pretty! 
If they have other benefits, that is awesome too!
I do think that anything has the ability to affect your mood, if you give it that power. So I think that a stone can be very helpful to someone who believes they will help.
My husband recently purchased a pendulum. In some ways, I think he is crazy! 
But in other ways, it is pretty interesting to watch him with it. It really does go off of the flow of energy. (Or the subconcious mind is doing a lot of work!)
